Sunderland striker Gyan set for injury return

Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan is expected to play for Sunderland this weekend after recovering from a thigh injury.

Coach Steve Bruce is expected to name the Ghana hit-man in his starting line-up against Wolves this weekend.

Gyan sat out the game against Wolves after picking up the setback during the Black Stars friendly against Saudi Arabia.

The Ghanaian has been is fantastic form for the Black Cats, scoring five goals since joining them from Rennes in August.
