Midfielder Mumuni Abubakar is aiming to use his move to Sundowns as a stepping stone to further his career.

The 18-year-old was part of a double swoop made by the South African club in a deal which includes Ghana Premier League’s top goalscoroer Emmanuel Baffour.

The former New Edubiase player who was in action for the Ghana U-20 side against Uganda last weekend is however looking to further his career beyound playing in the PSL.

“As a young player going to South Africa I think that is not going to be my end, I pray I play very well there and move ahead,”

“Playing only in South Africa is not my aim, I want to take my career further to be able to even play for the Black Stars.

“I hope it all goes well for me, for me to keep my discipline both on and of the pitch and God willing I will succeed.”

Abubakar earlier this year tried out at English giants Liverpool before subsequently moving to Sundowns.
