SV Darmstadt midfielder Braydon Manu has been hospitalized  after he suffered a terrible injury which has angered the club.

The 24-year-old, who has returned to the club after a thrilling loan spell at Hallescher FC, suffered the setback following a savage tackle from Marijan Ćavar in a pre-season friendly against SpVgg Greuther Fürth.

Although an MRI does not confirm the feared diagnosis of a fibula fracture, there is a risk of a break.

The situation has angered Darmstadt's sporting director Carsten Wehlmann, who says everyone is annoyed at the challenge from Ćavar.

"It's very annoying for everyone." he said

The winger was fouled after dribbling Marijan Ćavar riding and screaming in pain after the horrific tackle.

The German-born Ghanaian footballer had to be supported by the medics and sent to the hospital.

This is even more tragic for the midfielder as knee injury forced him out to six months of rehab.

He was shipped out on loan to Hallescher FC for regular playing opportunities.
