The Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) has extended its congratulations to Yaw Ampofo Ankrah on his appointment as the Director General of the National Sports Authority (NSA).
Ampofo Ankrah, a seasoned sports journalist and SWAG member, becomes the first sports journalist to assume this role in Ghana, marking a historic moment in the country’s sports administration.
In a statement, SWAG acknowledged his appointment as a significant achievement and a testament to his contributions to sports development in Ghana.
"SWAG is proud to have members who have distinguished themselves in their fields and are making significant contributions to the development of sports in Ghana," the statement read.
The association wished Ampofo Ankrah success in his new role and expressed its readiness to support him in advancing sports administration in the country.
