Swansea manager Steve Cooper lauds Andre Ayew's work rate

Swansea City manager Steve Cooper has praised Andre Ayew for being a complete footballer after his side's victory over Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday night.

The Ghana captain was at his best again for the Swansea, proving the assists for the opener scored by Jamal Lowe in the 2-0 win at Hillsborough.

Ayew who has bagged fifteen goals this season was everywhere on the pitch last night, a role which has earned him the praise of Cooper.

"For sometimes the glitz and glamour than Andre is perceived to be, we know he also does that side of the game where he's pressing from the front, he wins the ball back and puts a team mate in to put it away and put the team 1-0 up. That is always Andre's main focus," said the head coach.

"It's brilliant for Jamal to score again. You've got to be there to score them. Sheffield Wednesday are fighting for their lives, I've got a lot of respect for Darren Moore, and I know what he'll be trying to do with the brand of football he wants to play, but we nullified them really to very little."
