Swansea’s Andre Ayew charges teammates ahead of Brentford clash

Swansea City vice-captain Andre Ayew has sent an encouraging message to his teammates ahead of Wednesday's game against Brentford.

The Swans will be hoping to qualify for the final of the playoffs when they take on Brentford in the second leg of the semi-final clash.

Swansea go into the return leg with a 1-0 advantage after Andre Ayew scored a stunning goal in the first leg at the Liberty Stadium last Sunday.

The Black Stars captain missed a penalty but he once again proved how mentally strong he is by recovering from the setback to score the goal which could be decisive in the tie.

"1st half done getting ready for the 2nd on Wednesday all to play for let’s go jack army!," Ayew wrote on Twitter.

The goal on Sunday was his 17th in the Championship in a season which started with reports of him leaving to cut down the club's wage bill.

He has been the team's most consistent performer and will be duly rewarded should south Wales qualify for the Premier League.
