Sweden based Frank Arhin joins Black Meteors camp ahead of AFCON U-23 qualifier

Ostersunds FK youngster Frank Arhin has joined the Black Meteors team in camp ahead of the Africa U-23 championships qualifier against Togo. 

The Swedish based midfielder had an outstanding campaign in the Allsvenskan, playing 15 games in the just ended season.

Arhin is part of the foreign based players in the team that is preparing ahead of the game against Togo in the first round of qualifiers.

The Black Meteors lost a friendly to Asante Kotoko last Sunday forcing coach Ibrahim Tanko to make changes to the team he assembled.

Ibrahim Tanko sacked eight players from camp following tan underwhelming showing in the friendly against the Porcupine Warriors.

Meanwhile, other foreign based players expected to join the team are Majeed Ashimeru of Saint Gallen, Kingsley Fobi of UD Ibiza, Musah Nuhu and Gideon Mensah of Saint Gallen and Liefring respectively.

The Black Meteors last qualified for the Olympic games in 2004 but would have to secure a spot in Egypt 2019 to have a chance of reaching Tokyo 2020.
