Swedish giants AIK Stockholm have loaned striker Kwame Amponsah-Karikari to second-tier side Degerfors for three months, MTNFootball.com can confirm.

Degerfors wanted an outright purchase of the 20-year-old to help boost their promotion to the top flight but AIK agreed to release the 6ft 3in forward for three months.

AIK expect Karikari to return in top shape and help their championship aspirations in June.

Karikari told MTNFootball.com the move will help his progress.

"The deal is sealed and I will move to join my new club on Monday. I will return in top shape and club AIK in the title chase," the former Ghana youth international said.

The Swede Superettan starts in April.
