Tagoe urges Ghana squad to aim high

Ghana striker Prince Tagoe has told his international team mates not to lower the bar at the World Cup finals urging them to go beyond the round 16 stage. Tagoe, 23, says the players will make Milovan Rajevac final list cannot disappoint the country and self-styled fans of the Black Stars.

"It's everybody's joy to be in the World Cup so when you are player and you are given this opportunity you have to do your best and help the country. I think the tournament is yet to begin but I think with hard work and determination, everything is possible," Tagoe said.

He has regained his form at club side Hoffenheim after a dubious medical test which suggested he had a heart problem nearly marred his career.

Tagoe is aiming to play in his first World Cup finals after being named in the initial 30-man squad.

Ghana's campaign at the last World Cup ended at the first knock-out stage in a 3-0 defeat to Brazil in Germany.
