Former Medeama SC CEO James Essilfie has stated that the Tarkwa community is capable of managing the renovated TNA Stadium.
This came after the community, backed by Municipal Chief Executive Benjamin Kesse, took over the management of the facility from the National Sports Authority due to alleged mismanagement.
Essifle has been appointed chair of a five-member committee responsible for managing the facility following their takeover from the NSA.
The stadium had been handed to the NSA following its commissioning ahead of the start of the new Ghana Premier League season.
“We fought to take over the management of the TNA Stadium from the National Sports Authority. Tarkwa is capable of managing its own affairs,” Essifle said on Asempa FM.
“Now that the management of the stadium is in our hands, whatever we say needs to be done to ensure that the stadium is in good condition, we will do that,” Essifle said as played on Asempa FM.
“Whatever is needed for the facility to host CAF category three matches, we will address that.”
