Ghanaian youngster Kelvin Ofori got his teammates amazed about his new looks when he showed up at the training ground for Fortuna Dusseldorf's start of training at the end of July.

The actually skinny striker had packed muscles and gained some pounds of weight on vacation and looked really hardened.

Fortuna's mega talent wants to take off after the relegation and get a regular place in the well-filled offensive set-up.

Instead, the Ghanaian toiled on vacation and worked extra shifts as he hired a personal trainer during the vacation to look fitter and ready for the new season.

The young attacker has gained more muscle mass, a stronger body, but also more speed.

These are characteristics that can be important weapons, especially in the combat-oriented German second-tier.

"After the summer vacation, I was really looking forward to seeing the boys again, being back on the football field and feeling the ball on my feet," Ofori revealed.

"We are training very hard at the moment. I try to learn and work on myself in every training session. I hope that I can do my part to ensure that we have a successful season."

The 19-year-old joined Fortuna in August 2019 from the Right to Dream Academy and went ahead to make only two appearances in the German top-flight last term.
