Ghanasoccernet.com picks its team of the week after monitoring the performances of Ghanaian players playing abroad.

FORMATION: Â Ã‚  4-4-2

22. RICHARD KINGSON

The stopper has been in tremendous form for Blackpool since first choice goalie Matthew Gilk got injured and his performance this weekend was appealing to Boss Ian Holloway who is seriously considering making him his permanent first choice keeper.

4. JOHN PANSTIL

The Fulham man has been out of the team of the week for several weeks due to his lack of playing since the arrival of Carlos Salcido.

But enjoyed 76 minutes of playing time when the Mexican got injured in their game with Birmingham City on Saturday.

His performance is obviously going to force manager Mark Hughes to think twice about the right-back position

3. DANIEL OPARE

The former Real Madrid reserves defender was in devastating former for Standard Liege in the Belgian Liege as they romped to a 7-0 win over SK Lierse.

Though a right-back, he can easily fit in to the left-back position.

4. ISAAC VORSAH

Though Hoffenheim were held at home by Bayer Leverkusen and conceded two goals, Vorsah's performance on the day was enough to hold down a place in the starting eleven.

5. JOHN MENSAH

He made a return into our team of the week after his splendid display for Sunderland at Wolverhampton.

It seems his replacement on the 83rd minute denied the Black Cats that valuable away point.

10. DEREK BOATENG

The Tottenham Hotspur target has come on in leaps and bounds and his breathtaking performance for Getafe on Saturday night earned them the points against Sevilla at home.

Boateng is assigned a holding midfield role.

23. KEVIN-PRINCE BOATENG

Explicit passes plus good and ball winning tackles in midfield, Boateng was superior in midfield for AC Milan against Sampdoria.

Had Ibrahimovic been clever upfront, there would have been more goals for the Rosonerri to win the tie.

13. ANDRE AYEW

Keeps improve match after match but this week was different. He was absolutely terrific! He tormented and scared the Montpellier defence men with his dazzling skills and strength.

20. KWADWO ASAMOAH

Impressed in Udinese's 3-1 thrashing of Napoli on Sunday afternoon. His usual strength and ball-holding ability was key for Udinese plus his well calculated passes.

14. MATHEW AMOAH

His double strike put the brakes on PSV Eindhoven on Friday and increased his tally to eight in the top scorers chart.

His performance has forced our scouting team to move away from a preferred 4-3-2-1 diamond formation for the orthodox 4-4-2 formation.

3.  ASAMOAH GYAN

For the 35 minutes he lasted on the pitch, he made a huge impact than the 55 minutes without him for Sunderland.

He assisted Darren Bent for the equaliser on the 67th minute and generally had a good game.

An Amoah-Gyan partnership would go upfront.

Substitutes: Stephen Ahorlu, Francis Dickoh, Eric Addo, Mark Edusei,Enoch Adu-Kofi, Laryea Kingston, Kwabena Yaro.
