Tema Youth coach Edward Odoom says his side suffered from mental and physical fatigue for their 1-1 draw against Hearts on Wednesday.

The Harbour-warriors surrendered an early lead to draw against the capital-based side in their delayed opening game of the Ghana Premier League at home.

Four of their key players including Francis Narh, Moses Odjei, Jeremiah Arkoful and Derrick Mensah joined the team a day before the fixture after returning from international duty.

And their head trainer attributed their failure to pick maximum points on tiredness of his players.

“We could have won the game but some of the my players were exhausted,” Odoom said

“The four key players did not arrive from Morocco in time and that resulted in the outcome of the game.

“I believe we will put our house in order ahead of our next game on Sunday.”

Youth will travel to Kumasi to face King Faisal in their next Premier League game on October 14.
