Determined Osei Palmer rubbishes Dreams FC's application for Review Panel to dismiss Tema Youth's case; says their argument is lame

The President of Tema Youth FC, Wilfred Osei Kweku Palmer has rubbished Dreams FC application for the Review Panel of the Appeals Committee of the Ghana FA to strike out his club's Statement of Case insisting the Dawu-based side is raising a lame argument.

Dreams FC in a letter to the Review Panel of the Appeals Committee argued that Tema Youth did not follow the due process of filing their Statement of Case by using the appropriate forms required by the FA's laws to file for the case, therefore, they want the Review Panel to dismiss the case presented by Tema Youth.

Dreams FC, among other arguments, also argued that Tema Youth FC referred the Ghana FA to the Court of Arbitration for Sports at FIFA and that they are a third party and must not suffer any penalty for that.

But the determined Tema Youth FC President Osei Palmer says the argument from Dreams FC is very lame and deserves to be treated with kids gloves.

"I am very sad for Dreams FC. This is an old case and does not deserve re-filing for us to buy new forms and file again. In any case, when Dreams were also presenting their matter, did they also buy proper forms? Was it not presented on their letter head? Does it make their case void? Forget about them. They are not serious," Parmer told Ghanasoccernet.com

On Dreams FC not nejng a party to Tema Youth's case at FIFA, Parmer said: "Such an argument is very lame. There was no way we could have sent Dreams FC to FIFA because our regulations do not permit us. I don't know what their constitution says but I know we could only send a body or an organisation that legally accepts the verdicts of FIFA and that is the FA. They are a party because they are those we need the points from," he added.

Parmer again argued that there are specific sanctions they asked for from FIFA and Dreams FC do not effect those sanctions and that Tema Youth couldn't have taken them to FIFA.

"We called on FIFA to ensure that the Disciplinary Committee of the GFA awards us three points and declare us as winners of 2014/15 GN Bank Division One League. Dreams do not award and deduct points so how do we take them to FIFA? He questioned.

Parmer concluded by saying that he is sorry for Dreams FC because there is no way they can get away with this case and that their lawyers are just milking them knowing very well that they can't win the case.

"I am sorry for my brother Kurt Okraku. If I were Dreams FC, I would have pleaded for leniency from the federation instead of trying to rely on these technicalities because they can't go away with this.

"Their lawyers are only milking them when they really know the truth and I feel sad for my brother," Parmer concluded.

Tema Youth lost a disciplinary case at the Ghana FA Disciplinary Committee, lost at the Appeals and the Review levels as well in 2015 involving Dreams FC using two unqualified players to play against them and the matter went as far as CAS.

CAS then directed that the Ghana FA dissolves the existing Appeals Committee, put a new one in place for them to settle the case By: Sheikh Topic Sienu @desheikh1 on twitter
