Tema Youth ready to carry on without Ghana U20 quintet

Ghanaian Premier League side Tema Youth say they will not ask the PLB to postpone their league games even if all five of their regulars are confirmed in the Ghana U20 side for next month's AYC.

Striker Francis Narh, midfielders Derrick Mensah and Moses Odjer, defenders Jeremiah Arkorful and Joseph Attamah are expected to make the final 25-man squad that will travel to Italy for a pre-tournament training next week.

Per the Ghana Football Association match regulations, Tema Youth could ask the Premier League Board to suspend Glo Premier League games if two or more of their players are selected by Sellas Tetteh.

But President Winfred Osei Palmer insists his side have enough arsenal to continue the league.

"We have enough players to play the league and even if all five players are selected by Sellas Tetteh we can continue playing our games," he told Accra-based Happy FM.

Youth will host SC Medeama at the Tema Park on Sunday.
