Ten-man Berekum Chelsea earned a 1-1 draw with Tema Youth in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.

Chelsea went into the lead just under six minutes courtesy a spot-kick converted by Latif Salifu but Francis Narh restored parity for the home side just two minutes after the break.

The Blues dwelled mostly in the Youth half in the opening minutes of the half making their intentions clear.

The Youth defence watched Jordan Opoku tear away on the left and weighed a cross which was handled inside the box by Kenneth Owusu.

Referee Cecil Fletcher pointed to the spot and Salifu darted a powerful effort into goalkeeper Kofi Mensah's net.

Tema Youth fought to draw level before the break but Ghana U20 striker Narh failed to make good use of the opportunity.

Coach Edward Odoom's dressing room talk during the recess yielded the needed results as Moses Odjer won a penalty just two minutes into the half.

Odjer walked through the Chelsea defence before being trapped by the out-stretched legs of Chelsea defender Kpodo.

Narh stepped up and sent the Chelsea goalie the wrong way to settle the scores at the Harbour City.

Kpodo got his marching orders in the 52nd minute following a second bookable offence.
