Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah has decided against playing a warm-up match ahead of their 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Uganda.

The Black Stars were billed to play a lower tier side as part of efforts to get the team into shape for Saturday’s clash.

But Appiah has rule that out and wants to focus on preparing the team during the training sessions.

“We will not be playing any friendly games because of the short duration we have to the game,” Appiah said.

“Had the game been on Sunday then we could have played a friendly game today but because it’s on Saturday we will have to just concentrate on working within ourselves.”
