Ghana midfielder Majeed Ashimeru says Anderlecht fans keeps him going after netting his first goal of the campaign in the victory over Beerschot. 

The attacking midfielder climbed off the bench to seal victory for the Purple and Whites in the 4-2 home win.

Ashimeru has started most of tis season's games from the bench, but the ex-WAFA star explains team effort is more important than individual achievements.

"What matters is that the team is running well, I just work to get my chance. The victory was very important," said Majeed Ashimeru after the game. 

"Of course, it's difficult to be on the bench, but I can feel the support of the public and it pushes me hard. It was my first goal at home," said the Ghanaian. 

"My goal? To combine with Joshua Zirkzee is easy. In training, we find each other very often." 

Majeed Ashimeru joined the Belgium giants on a permanent deal after excelling on an initial loan spell from Austrian giants Red Bull Salzburg.
