Thirty invited for Ghana U20 camp ahead of AYC

Thirty locally-based players have been invited to begin camping with the Ghana U20 team.

The camp that opens on January 8 at the Ghanaman Soccer School of Excellence will mark the commencement of preparations towards the African Youth Championships in March.

It also marks the first piece of activity by Sellas Tetteh since he replaced Maxwell Konadu as the substantive coach of the side last month.

Tetteh returns to the side he led to an historic treble – winning the WAFU, African and World Cups in 2009.

The Black Satellites will face tournament hosts Algeria in Group A in the AYC.

Ghana will also battle Benin and and Egypt in the same group.
