‘This is the worst South African team in the last five years’- GFA President hits back at SAFA

Ghana FA President Kurt Okraku has launched a scathing attack on the Bafana Bafana team describing it as the worst team he has seen in the last five years.

The South African Football Association (SAFA) led by Danny Jordan have made baseless claims following the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier defeat against the Black Stars which ended their dreams of playing in Qatar next year.

The defeat according to SAFA was influenced or fixed and have lodged a complaint with FIFA to investigate the matter.

The Ghana FA  have responded strongly to the claims made by SAFA stating it wants to shift focus on its failures as an association.

During the launch of the Ghana Women’s Super Cup competition and the U-17 Inter Clubs competition at the FA Headquarters, Kurt Okraku  also hit back at his SAFA counterparts as being “disrespectful to a powerful football nation like Ghana” and says the disrespect must end.

“This is the worst South African team I have seen in the last five years and they do not deserve to qualify. I am so angry about their attitude and they are so disrespectful about the quality of things we have here in Ghana”.

“It is not correct for people to show so much disrespect to a powerful football nation like Ghana and this must not happen again,” he said.
