Thomas Partey triumphs over Mubarak Wakaso's Deportivo Alaves with Atletico Madrid

Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey was handed a starting role as Atletico Madrid beat Deportivo Alaves who had Mubarak Wakaso on the bench.

Angel Correa replaced Partey in the 46th minute as a 74th minute Fernando Torres goal clinched the win on Saturday.

The former Liverpool and Chelsea striker, connected the winner just minutes after coming off the bench, sliding in Vrsaljko’s cross.

Partey was an average performer on the day completing 25 passes, conceded 2 fouls, won only one and had a passing accuracy of 64 % before making way for Correa.
