Thomas Partey could be on his way out of Arsenal this summer, with a departure looking increasingly likely.
The Ghanaian midfielder, whose contract runs out at the end of the season, has attracted interest from several clubs in recent months. Arsenal’s willingness to part ways with experienced midfielders could further open the door for his exit.
David Ornstein of The Athletic believes Partey’s departure is a strong possibility. Speaking in a Q&A session, he suggested that Arsenal’s decision may depend on potential reinforcements in midfield.
"Not settled yet [exits for Partey and Jorginho], as far as I’m aware, but a very good chance. It may be influenced by the status of potential arrivals in that position," Ornstein said.
Partey has played a vital role for Arsenal this season, featuring in 27 Premier League matches. The Ghanaian international has contributed three goals and two assists, reinforcing his importance in midfield.
Meanwhile, the 31-year-old has been called up for Ghana’s World Cup qualifiers against Chad and Madagascar, as he remains a key figure for his national team. Whether he stays or moves on, his future promises to be a major talking point in the coming months.
