Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is concerned about Thomas Partey's injury, which occurred during Monday's Premier League match against Crystal Palace.

The Ghanaian, who didn’t have the best of games at Selhurst Park, got injured and had to be replaced in the second half.

The Gunners were stunned 3-0 at Selhurst Park, with Jordan Ayew scoring the second goal for the Eagles who were absolutely fantastic.

The result leaves Arsenal in fifth place, level on points with Tottenham in fourth place. The Gunners do have game in hand, however.

Speaking after the game, Arteta admitted the injury was a "concern".

"I don’t know [how bad it is] but he felt something in the same area as he was injured previously so it’s a concern," the Spaniard said.

He added: "We lost Kieran, we lost Thomas. We’ve been trying since the start of the season. We can’t find excuses though. The first goal wasn’t good enough." T

Partey's injury is a major blow for Arsenal in what promises to be a crucial final few months in the race for a top-four spot.

However, Jamie Carragher has advised Arteta's team to put the setback behind them and concentrate on the remaining games of the season.
