Timid Kotoko supporters not bothered by Hearts' show

Supporters of Asante Kotoko insist they don’t go to the stadium to cheer players but rather to show presence.

This comes in the wake of Kotoko’s one all draw with bitterest rivals Hearts of Oak on Sunday where the visiting supporters clearly overwhelmed their hosts despite their minimal numbers at the Baba Yara Stadium.

But leaders of the club’s supporter wing (Circles) of the 21-time league champions say they are not bothered by Hearts’ vociferousness since they are not a musical choir.

“Hearts can come and do all the singing they can at the stadium because we are not bothered,” Greater Accra Circles Chairman Edmund Ackah told GHANAsoccernet.com.

“We are supporters and not a musical choir therefore we go to the stadium to show our colours and not our voices.”

The two clubs go head-to-head this Saturday for the return fixture of the innovative pre-season friendly dubbed ‘Super 2’where the Phobian supporters have pledged to do even more in the stands while backing their team to victory.
