Timothy Fosu-Mensah has named seven Manchester United icons in his best XI of all time.

The Ghanaian-born Dutch defender picked goalkeeper David De Gea while sticking with former United captain Antonio Valencia.

The 22-year-old picked compatriot Virgil Van Dijk and will partner surprised inclusion Eric Bailly.

In the back left, Fosu-Mensah pushed away another Dutchman, Patrick van Aanholt, with whom he played at the Crystal Palace, in front of Daley Blind.

The midfielder chose Ajax player Wayne Rooney, Paul Pogba and Abdelhak Nouri, who collapsed on the field in 2017 due to cardiac arrest.

Michael Carrick, Ander Herrera and Donny van de Beek were not included in his selection.

He also snubbed Chris Smalling, Marcus Rojo, Phil Jones and the Dutch international Matthijs de Ligt .

Tim's top three include Arjen Robben, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Memphis Depay, who were chosen ahead of Marcus Rashford, Juan Mata and Anthony Martial.
