Sports management consultant Said Hadjarab has touched down in Ghana to begin scouting of players at the forthcoming FC Skyboom Open Football tournament.

The tournament which is due to come off at Oyarifa on February 21 to 24, 2018, is expected to draw established agents and scouts across the nation to to unearth football talents.

During an interview with Ghana's leading football website, GHANAsoccernet.com, FIFA intermediary, Said Hadjarab expounded on his expectation ahead of the upcoming program.

"He says he’s happy to be here in Ghana. His main objective is to select the best players and send them to teams in Europe, that's the most important thing," Hadjarab indicated through his translator, Campbell Agbavito.

"He is delighted to be in a partnership agreement with Obed."

"He says it's too early to reveal whatever he brought to town but he's waiting to see how the tournament will end but he's sure of one thing that he will not be disappointed," he added.

"He does not want to promise anything but he says the pitch will determine the outcome of the whole program. So, if we send the players over there [Europe], they have to prove themselves on the pitch and sure they make it at the end of the day. And they themselves will testify if he's serious or not. He is serious about this whole project because he has told Obed [Skyboom CEO] that after this tournament he'll here again in three months’ time for another tournament, so for him to be here proves he's serious about the program."

Chief Executive Officer of Skyboom FC, Obed Okpoti also added, "I'm very happy with how things have panned out since we started planning for this program. We started this thing not long ago but with the man [Said Hadjarab] coming to Ghana means we are close to realizing our dream. He has assured us that he's come to fulfill his promise, so I'm happy."

"I'm urging all the competing teams to come with all the talents they can assemble when the tournament gets underway from 21st to 24th. The agent has made it clear that he's ready to pick the best players and send them to Europe, so I'm imploring the teams to come and prove themselves. I'm very elated with his message," he concluded.
