Top-flight sides line up series of pre-season friendlies

A number of Premier League clubs will be involved in pre-season action as they wind up their plans ahead of the start of the new campaign on October 7.

Hearts will tackle Heart of Lions at the Tema Sport stadium on Saturday in a bid to put the finishing touches to their squad ahead of their seaon's opener against Tema Youth.

The Phobians have been awesome in their pre-season build up by chalking some decent results over the past few months.

They managed a resounding 3-1 win over city rivals Liberty Professionals and will look ahead to another feat against the Kpando-based side.

The club is building momentum gradually which has excited many of their teeming fans and their team cohesion and understanding will really bring a lot to bear this season.

Lions will themselves test their readiness with a friendly against Medeama on Wednesday at the Tarkwa and Aboso park before their game against the capital-based side.

Hearts rivals,  Kotoko will battle Berekum Arsenal at the Baba Yara stadium as a prelude to their Super Cup clash against New Edubiase on Sunday.

The Porcupine Warriors have enjoyed a decent pre-season campaign which has seen them record some  important victories to bolster confidence ahead of their title defence.

Ashantigold will travel to play as guest of second-tier Windy Professional on Wednesday at Winneba.

Liberty  will also play King Faisal, Real Tamale United and second-tier Kintampo United before the start of new season.
