Ghana midfielder Baba Iddrisu has left the Black Stars camp in Japan to sought out his club future amid interest from suitors.

The Mallorca midfielder was granted permission by the Ghana national team to leave camp and hold talks with the interested clubs.

The 26-year-old featured in Ghana's doubleheader in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Madagascar and Central Africa Republic.

The center midfielder has left Ghana's training camp in Japan to his club to begin formal talks with possible new suitors as the summer transfer window approaches.

GHANAsoccernet.com understands that Spanish giants Atletico Madrid is among the clubs keen on signing the Ghana international in the summer transfer window.

Atletico Madrid have targeted the center midfielder as a replacement for Thomas Partey for sometime.

Premier League club Everton are also interested in the defensive midfielder as reported by GHANAsoccernet.com in February.

Baba signed a new deal with a release clause of 45 million euros.

Meanwhile Black Stars arrived in Japan with a severely depleted squad for the Kirin Soccer Cup four-nation tournament which is featuring Japan, Chile and Tunisia.

The 21st edition of the international friendly tournament will be staged in Kobe and Osaka from Friday, June 10 to Tuesday, June 14, 2022.

Ghana didn't travel with players including injured quartet Jonathan Mensah, Richard Ofori, Antoine Selorm Semenyo and Joseph Aidoo for the Japan trip.

However, Gideon Mensah, Daniel-Kofi Kyereh, Abdul Mumin, Kamaldeen Sulemana, Osman Bukari, Joseph Paintsil, Denis Odoi, Elisha Owusu and Baba Iddrisu Mohammed will all miss out of the tournament.
