Torino close deal to bring former star back

Torino have reportedly sealed the signing of their former forward Ciro Immobile from Sevilla.

The 25-year-old has lived two troubled seasons since he left Italy in June 2014, after scoring 22 goals in 33 Serie A appearances that season and ensuring his Capocannoniere title at the time.

According to tuttomercatoweb.com, the Italian will soon join Torino on a €850k loan, with an option to buy set at €11 million.

The striker, who was loaned to Sevilla last summer following a disappointing season with German outfit Borussia Dortmund, has failed to impress coach Unai Emery who gave him just four starts in this La Liga campaign.

Immobile’s deal could put Fabio Quagliarella’s position further at risk as the 32-year-old recently faced his fans’ discontent after deciding not to celebrate a goal against his former club Napoli.
