Torino confirm surprise signing of Manchester City goalkeeper

A surprise move to Torino for Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart has been completed, with the English shot-stopper joining on loan.

The 29-year-old has been under pressure in Manchester recently, with boss Pep Guardiola choosing to place Hart as his third-choice goalkeeper for the oncoming English Premier League season, so a move away was inevitable.

Serie A side Torino have now announced on their website that they are the somewhat unexpected recipients of Hart’s services on a season-long loan.

He joined Manchester City in 2006 but was sent out on loan at lower league sides in England before making a name for himself during the 2010/11 Premier League season.

He has played 348 games in all competitions for City since joining them, keeping 137 clean sheet, however he hasn’t appeared in a league match for the Citizens so far this term.
