Toronto II midfielder Gideon Waja is mourning the death of his father John Kofi Waja.
The incident occurred on Wednesday in Atebubu.
Gideon's local manager Darlington Praise Klukpui has confirmed the news.
The former WAFA captain moved to Canada this year and has been playing in the USL.
