Tottenham confirm positive coronavirus test after latest round of EPL testing

Published on: 03 June 2020

The Premier League have announced one positive case of coronavirus from 1,197 samples across the fifth round of testing this week.

With exactly two weeks until the top-flight season resumes, numbers of positive cases have remained very low but climb from the zero recorded in the fourth set of tests.

Tottenham confirm they have been informed by the Premier League that they have received one positive test for COVID-19 following the latest round of testing at Training Centre.

Due to medical confidentiality, the individual’s name will not be disclosed.

They are currently asymptomatic and will now self-isolate for seven days, in line with Premier League protocol, before undergoing further testing.
