Turkish outlet Karadeniz Gazete have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur have had an £18million bid rejected for Trabzonspor goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir, with Liverpool and Arsenal also keeping tabs on the Turkey international.

Cakir, 24, has sprung on to many European clubs’ shortlists this season after an excellent campaign between the sticks with Trabzonspor. The claret and blue Turkish side currently sit at the top of the Turkish SuperLig, but only on goal difference.

Tottenham are believed to have been interested for quite some time in Cakir, with Jose Mourinho a big fan of Turkish football – Fenerbahce striker Vedat Muriqi is also a target. Their £18million offer, though, has been rejected.
