Tottenham Hotspur join race for Sassuolo star

English side Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly entered the race to sign Juventus target Domenico Berardi from Sassuolo.

The 21-year-old  has scored a total of 33 goals for the Neroverdi in two and a half seasons.

According to Calciomercato.it, Mauricio Pochettino’s men are now keeping tabs on the winger, as the Spurs coach is impressed by the Italian.

As someone who plays predominantly on the right, Berardi has also been deployed as a left winger in the Italy Under-21 side.

A formal offer hasn’t been made, but reports suggest that the Lilywhites could make an approach during the winter transfer window.

Liverpool are also keeping an eye on Berardi, but it’s Juve who will have a final say on Berardi’s future with a buyback clause included in his Neroverdi contract after he ceased to be co-owned by the Bianconeri.

It has also been reported that a â‚¬18 million fee is already in place for Berardi’s move to Turin next summer.
