Club president Abdul Salam Yakubu disclosed that there have been preliminary talks with representatives of the retired Togo international striker.

“Yes there is something like that in the pipeline. Adebayor and his consortium approached us and we are still in talks,” Yakubu told GHANASoccernet.com.

“We have decided to make them partners by selling a percentage of the club to them but we are yet to finalize the deal.

“They suggested that we sell to them 70 % and we said no problem but we haven’t concluded on anything yet.

“As of now, the club is still in the hands of the old management. We are still waiting to finalize things.”

New Edubiase won the MTN FA Cup two seasons ago and have produced some exciting youngsters including current MTN FA Cup Most Valuable Player Abeiku Ainooson and Aseidu Attobrah.
