Harry Kane's injury couldn't have come at a worse time for Tottenham. Alejandro Moreno questions whether Spurs can cope without their star striker.

Mousa Dembele has completed his move to Chinese Super League club Guangzhou R&F, with sources telling ESPN FC that Tottenham have banked £9 milllion from the sale.

Dembele, 31, was entering the last six months of his contract so could have left for free in the summer.

He joined Spurs from Fulham in 2012 and made 250 appearances for the club in all competitions.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino named Dembele among a select group of five geniuses he has been lucky enough to work with in his career, alongside Diego Maradona, Ronaldinho, Jay-Jay Okocha and Ivan de la Pena.

Dembele has increasingly struggled with injuries and has not played since Nov. 3 due to an ankle problem, so Spurs will be pleased to have banked almost £10m, particularly given his contract situation.

However, the Belgium international's departure leaves them light in midfield.

Moussa Sissoko limped off in the first half of Sunday's 1-0 defeat to Manchester United with a groin problem, with Eric Dier and Victor Wanyama already sidelined, leaving Harry Winks as the only available senior central midfielder. Dier and Wanyama are both closing in on their returns though.
