Ahmed Toure has played his first game for Ivorian club Athletic FC Adjame in a move which will certainly infuriate Asante Kotoko.

The 24-year-old hit a brace in a 2-2 draw with Aboisso FC on Wednesday.

Toure has a day before claimed to be in possession of vital documents that will validate his move to the Ivorian second tier club.

Kotoko on the other hand remain adamant the 2010/11 Ghana Premier League MVP was still their player and thus could not feature for any club without their permission.

The two parties are now set for a serious legal tussle following Kotoko’s threat to take the matter up if Toure so much kicked a ball for any other club without Kotoko’s consent.

The player appears to have completely fallen out with the Ghanaian champions after enduring a very frustrating season last term where he was sparingly used.

This was on the back of a very impressive campaign the season before where he emerged the league’s MVP.

He however started the last season on a wrong-footing after he was punished by the club for overstaying a compassionate leave – a situation that has evolved into the player’s relationship deterioration with the club at present.
