Trabzonspor coach Hüseyin ÃimÅir has confirmed Ghanaian striker Caleb Ekuban has suffered a groin injury and is expected to be out of action for up to three weeks.
Ekuban suffered the injury while training and was absent in the side's clash with to Ankaragücü in the Turkish top-flight over the weekend.
He was greatly missed in the game as Trabzonspor drew 1-1 at home.
"He suffered a disability in the last training. It seems to be first-degree grade ripped. He can stay away from the fields in one to three weeks. But this is also related to the muscle structure of the player. Also, earlier Ekuban is a strong player, we will wait and see, " ÃimÅir told reporters after the game.
Ekuban has been in great form, producing 9 goals, 7 assists despite an injury which kept him out of action for 12 weeks in the early stages of the season.
This is a massive improvement from the eight goals, two assists in 36 matches for the Black Sea Storm last season.
