TRANSFER MARKET - Mourinho offer confirmed, £60m Real Madrid move, triple fitness boost

Published on: 04 April 2016

Jose Mourinho has been offered the Syria job.

Mourinho was sacked by Chelsea in December and is expected to replace Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford.

But the Syrian FA have revealed their offer to the Portuguese.

They wrote to Jorge Mendes asking to begin negotiations.

Syria are about to enter the third round of Asian qualifying for the 2018 World Cup and have lost only three times in the last 12 months.

Should the war-torn country reach the World Cup in Russia it will be the first time Syria have been represented at the tournament and they want the self-titled 'Special One' to be the man to take them there.

And the United youngsters want Ryan Giggs to replace Van Gaal instead of Mourinho.
