Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger could favour a move to sign Ghana World Cup striker Jordan Ayew if his pursuit of French hit-man Loic Remy fails, according to reports in England.

The Gunners have Uefa Champions League action next season and manager Wenger is not satisfied with his strikeforce and wants to bolster his forward-men with Loic Remy on top of his wishlist.

However, GHANAsoccernet.com has picked up Arsenal scouts watched Jordan in action for Ghana in Brazil and also monitored him at Sochaux where he spent the second half of the season on loan.

Remy is pushing to move to the Emirates Stadium but if the deal fails to materialise Jordan could be on his to the North London side.

Arsenal might face little competition for the 22-year-old as fellow EPL side West Bromwich Albion have been watching the third son of the African football legend Abedi Pele.
