South African side Orlando Pirates have confirmed Ghana keeper Fatau Dauda will remain at the club for the upcoming season.

The 2014 World Cup Ghana goalkeeper has been linked with a move from the Absa Premier Soccer League side since impressing for the West Africans in Brazil.

Belgian giants Standard Liege are the latest club to emerge with interest in the glovesman but a Pirates insider has confirmed the 29-year-old will remain at the club for the upcoming season.

"We only read that in newspapers. We have not yet received any offer for Dauda," says Pirates' administrative manager.

"As far as I am concerned he is staying with Orlando Pirates this season."

Dauda made just  two starts and one substitute appearance for the Soweto giants in 2013/14 but it showed little impact on his form as he gave a good account of himself at the World Cup.
