Ghana international midfielder Anthony Annan has confirmed he has left German giants Schalke 04 and will sign for a new club in the coming weeks.

The 28-year-old ended his three-season contract with the Royal Blues at the end of last season.

Swedish side Malmo FF have been strongly linked with the midfielder however  he has refused to reveal which club he will be joining.

"For now I can't say which club I'm joining but my agent is working hard and I will sign for a new club soon," he told a Ghanaian journalist in Cape Coast.

Annan has been in Ghana for holidays.
