Transfer Window closes and Berahino stays at WBA

After being pursued by Tottenham in the summer, 22-year-old West Brom striker Saido Berahino was again subject to intense speculation of a switch away from the Hawthowns in the January transfer window. Both Newcastle and Stoke are believed to have tabled bids in the region of £21m for the striker. Despite this, Berahino will be staying put at the Hawthorns after Baggies chairman Jeremy Peace followed through with his promise that the striker was not for sale.
