One of the proper names of this section of the season is that of Sam Johnstone. He proves every week that he is one of the best goalkeepers in the Championship and that his performance is being a clear reason to trust that his closest future is in the Premier League.
Sam Johnstone does not stop accumulating possible destinations for the next course. In fact, so much so that the Preston-born goalkeeper will be a free agent as of June 30 and there are several elite English football teams trying to seal his arrival at zero cost.
-West Ham United: the London entity wants to replace Fabiansky after his time at the club and the arrival of an experienced goalkeeper in English football would be a balm for David Moyes and his team.
- Southampton: similar situation for Ralph Hassenhuttl's pupils, who are also probing the transfer market in search of the arrival of a goalkeeper who can add minutes and relevance in the team.
- Tottenham Hotspur: Hugo Lloris's shadow is long, but it will not be eternal. We are talking about an excellent goalkeeper, but a veteran, who will have to make room for the rest of the goalkeepers that the Spurs have on the payroll, and Sam Johnstone could be one.
