Tudu Mighty Jets ordered to pay Cheetah FC $16K over the transfer of Philimon Tawiah

Published on: 05 September 2020

Division One side Tudu Mighty Jets have been ordered to pay Cheetah FC an amount of $16, 672.50 following the transfer of Philimon Kwasaa Tawiah to German side Paderborn SC last year.

Mighty Jets lost their appeal against the Players Status Committee, which had earlier directed them to pay an amount of $19, 950 to Cheetah FC from the transfer fees.

The Appeals Committee is asking the Tudu based club to pay the 30% from the transfer fees of the player, who previously played for Cheetah.

The Appeal Committee has however dismissed that Appeal and varied the orders with respect to the amount to be paid.

Philimon Kwasaa Tawiah joined the German Bundesliga II side in January last year, and his contract expires in June 2021.
