Tunisia Football Federation sends bid to CAF for the hosting of the CAF Champions League remaining games

Published on: 13 July 2020

The Tunisia Football Federation (FTF) has written to Confederation of African Football (CAF) to express their readiness to host the remaining matches of the 2019/2020 CAF Champions League.

The FTF after consultation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports got the go ahead to bid for the hosting of the semi-finals and finals of the competition.

CAF were left disappointed after Cameroon, the most prominent candidate rejected to host the rest of the CAF Champions League games view of the epidemiological situation in the country and the matches coincided with the rainy season.

As CAF are looking for one country to host the remainder of the season due the coronavirus pandemic, Tunisia might be an ideal option.

The Egypt Football Association (EFA) are also expected to put in their application for the hosting of the competition on Monday.
