Tunisian side US Tataouine have cancelled the contract of Ghanaian midfielder James Akaminko just after a month of his signing.

Akaminko joined Tataouine in September 2020 on a free transfer after leaving AshantiGold SC.

The 26-year-old rejected contract renewal from the Obuasi-based club paving way for his move to Tunisia.

After three weeks of pre-season training, new head coach of the club Skander Kasri is not impressed with the Ghanaian player.

The coach further requested Akaminko's contract should be abrogated since "he doesn't have the physical and technical level required to continue at the club."

The former Tema Youth FC and Medeama SC midfielder was part of the Ghana team at the 2019 WAFU Cup of Nations in Senegal.

He was linked with a move to Asante Kotoko SC before he headed to Tunisia.
