Turkish side Göztepe SK enquire about Ghana defender Daniel Amartey

Turkish side Göztepe SK have enquired about the availability of Ghana defender Daniel Amartey from Leicester City ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.

Amartey has not featured for the Foxes in the league since suffering a career-threatening ankle injury against West Ham in October 2018, ruling him out for the rest of the 2018-19 Premier League season.

He has just made one appearance in all competitions this season for the club and it was a modest EFL trophy game against Doncaster Rovers.

Reports suggest that talks between officials of Göztepe and the King Power Stadium outfit have begun, with the Turkish club keen on the versatile defender.

His Ghanaian agent, Yusif Chibsah, has already stated that his client would leave the King Power Stadium this summer even though his contract is due to expire on June 20, 2022.

He joined Leicester City from Danish side FC Copenhagen in January 2016, and has gone on to play 64 games and scored one goal.
