Last week, James Weller from Sheffield cashed out £21,552.77 after placing £10 at 5000/1 odds at the start of the season on Foxes’ triumph in the Premier League.
Weller is planning to spend the winnings on a holiday for his family: “The kids can’t quite grasp it yet, but we’re off on an amazing holiday. It’s fantastic feeling knowing I’m twenty grand richer from just a tenner,” Weller told Ladbrokes.
“I hold my hands up, I lost my nerve and bottled it. I’m sure we’ll still win the league, probably drop four points before the end, but it’s ours to lose now and the pressure is on Spurs massively. I just wanted the money in my back pocket ASAP,” he added.
Weller would have been £3,000 richer, if he had waited for Leicester to win over Crystal Palace.
Ladbrokes says 47 punters bet on Leicester before the start of the season, 23 of them have cashed out.
William Hill sees Leicester as the main favourite of the title race in England. The Foxes are given 1.57 odds, or almost 64% implied probability.
