Bruno Guimaraes has revealed a private conversation he had with Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola after Newcastle’s game with the Citizens.
City celebrated a 2 – 0 victory over the Magpies in the Premier League on Saturday. Phil Foden and Bernardo Silva scored to secure three points for their team.
As a result, the defending Premier League champions are now sitting in second place on the table, five points behind the leaders Arsenal.
Newcastle star Guimaraes revealed he was happy to hear Guardiola’s praise towards him following the weekend’s meeting.
“He told me that I was a good player. This makes me happy, because, for me, he’s the best manager that I’ve seen. That’s it, that’s this conversation, not more,” he said, via Craig Hope.
